The Fit & Fresh Live PURE Filter helps make ordinary tap water taste like the bottled water you buy in stores, but how does it work? To answer that question, you first need to know how tap water ends up tasting different from place to place.
Ordinary tap water in the U.S. is perfectly safe to drink, but consumers often think it tastes "funny" or "bad". Sometimes people even say it smells "strange". The elements in tap water vary from area to area all over the country, but one of the main elements that greatly affects the taste of tap water is chlorine.
The Fit & Fresh LivPURE Filter uses a two stage filtration process to make ordinary tap water taste like bottled water.
In the first stage of the Fit & Fresh LivPURE filtration process, the water passes through a Granular Activated Carbon filter media. The carbon works like a sponge removing up to 50% of the chlorine from up to 75 gallons of water. Most people agree removing chlorine helps to make the water smell and taste better.
The second stage of the two stage process inhibits the growth of bacteria that may have found its way into your water.
Rinse filter in cold water to clean. Do not put the filter in the dishwasher. This item is BPA (bisphenol) free. Filter is not intended for use in salt water, lakes, rivers or with flavored drinks.
