Licorice has a 3000 year history as a medicine and as a flavoring agent. Glycyrrhizin, it's major active principle, is 50 times sweeter than sucrose. Licorice is currently one of the most widely used herbs and is very popular in China.
Licorice is gennerally used for gastric irritation.
Take one to three capsules three times daily with water at mealtimes or prepared as a tea.
Do not use this product if you are pregnant or nursing. Persons with high blood pressure, heart disease or kidney disease should consult a healthcare professional before using this product. Prolonged use of high doses of licorice root may lead to high blood pressure and fluid retention in some persons.
