Q. How accurate is the test?
A. In both laboratory and clinical tests with consumers, the test proved to be over 99 % accurate. If you think the result is not correct, wait a few days and test again, using a new One-Step Pregnancy test.
Q. How does the TestMedica Pregnancy Test Work?
A. When you are pregnant, your body produces a pregnancy hormone known as hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin). The presence of this hormone will give a positive result (Two lines). If there is no hCG detected a negative results will show only one line.
Q. Will medication, alcohol or contraceptives affect the result?
A. Alcohol will not affect the results, Oral contraceptives, pain relievers, antibiotics, hormone therapies and other commonly used medications should not affect the test results.
Q. Will drinking alot of liquids affect the results?
A. Excessive fluid intake could dilute your urine, causing hCG not to be detected properly. You may concentrate the hCG in your urine by reducing your fluid intake and not urinating for two hours before testing.
How to use the TestMedica One-Step Pregnancy Test
- Remove the test strip from its foil wrapper.
- Fill a clean cup with a urine sample and hold a strip in a vertical position. The urine level should not be higher than the "max level" indicated on the strip.
- Dip the test strip into the urine.
- Read results after 5 minutes.
Reading Your Results
In 5 minutes, a color band will appear closest to the top indicating that the test is complete (single color band). The closest band to the bottom shows the test results. If there is any color band close to the bottom (two color bands), you are pregnant. If there is no color band, or a single color band to the top, you are not pregnant.
