As a douche, it has been recommended for decades by doctors & pharmacists for cleansing and deodorizing the vaginal area & for the relief of minor irritation and itching.
Our Povidone-Iodine douche is available in an 8 oz. bottle which is used in conjunction with a douche bag and water. The 8 oz. bottle is very economical as only 3 capfuls are needed per douche.
Douching does not prevent pregnancy. Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing except with approval of your physician. If symptoms persist after five days use, or redness, swelling or pain develops, discontinue use and consult your physician. As a deodorizing and cleansing douche, do not use more than twice weekly. Women with iodine sensitivity should not use this product. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
